Team Info / Player Eligibility

The Metro State Hockey team is only available to students who are enrolled in school at Metro State.  All students must carry a GPA of at least 2.0 accumulative and be enrolled for a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester.  Every player has five years or 10 semesters of ACHA Eligiblty, any player having played NCAA of any level loses one year of eligibility for each year rostered on that team.

Players fees are based on season expenses and for the 2010-2011 season will be $1750 per player. Players fees include Blue and white jerseys, blue and white socks, red pant shell, team warmup, private chartered bus for road trips, hotel on road trips, practice ice time, game ice time, off-ice training facility, along with other season expenses. The only additional expense per player are for meals on the road and each player must provide their own red helmet with cage.

UCD and CCD students due to strict ACHA policy we are not allowed to roster any student not attending Metro State.  We have been fighting this ruling and will continue to do so, if any new developments should occur on this matter we will update this page.  However we can offer UCD and CCD students a chance to play in a local non checking men's league if there is enough interest.  If you are interested in playing in a men's league please let us know, so that we can arrange a men's league team if enough players are interested.
